I enjoy playing music whenever I can. I’m in a band called Swagger that plays the Arts Festivals in SLC and Park City. I have also been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for a number of years to keep both my mental and physical health in check.

I believe that meds are secondary to therapy. If one is genuinely engaged in therapy, medications will be the supporting tool, medications are needed to help skills not replace them. The goal of medications should be short-term, however, meds may need to be long-term for those who have ongoing mental illnesses.

My approach is to be honest and open with people. I approach my assessments individually and try to help treat some of the core issues that could be causing ongoing symptoms of anxiety, depression, etc. I find that treating these core issues helps alleviate the presenting symptoms which may bring people to seek help and treatment. I feel that treating on a core level helps decrease the need for over-medicating and chasing symptoms.
